Beautiful people move to our neighborhood from around the world. Many of these friends are sadly forced out of their original homes because of war, natural disaster, or other tragedies and hardships. As Christians, we welcome our new neighbors and help them resettle in Chicago.

Jesus himself suffered many of the hard times of a refugee: he had no home, he was poor, he was misunderstood by his family, was abused by authorities, and was rejected by his own people. Yet, he gave his life away for others, as the best way of showing God’s great love for the world.

Jesus Christ tells his followers today, Christians, to visit those who suffer, feed those who are hungry, welcome those who are from different countries, and love and accept the  children who come to us from around the world. Devon Oasis Center is a cup of cool water in a thirsty world. It is led by Christians who are part of the Missionary Church. We show God’s love to people from around the world and from every world religion.
